The no travel advisory for the City of Bismarck has been lifted. City snow plows have cleared the snow emergency routes, school routes and major arterial streets and will now begin plowing the residential areas. Residential streets contain deep snow and drifts and some roads remain impassable for normal vehicle traffic. Travel as you are able, but please be very cautious.
The Snow Emergency Declaration remains in effect. Please remove vehicles from all city streets to aid in snow removal operation. Keep them off the street until the plows have cleaned your area. We want to thank the citizens for their cooperation during this blizzard event.
We ask that contractors cleaning parking lots DO NOT push the snow into the street or across the street onto the boulevard.
It is illegal to push, shovel or blow snow into the street, alley, or onto another person’s property. The fine for this violation is up to $1000 and up to 30 days in jail.
