[ARCHIVED] One Person in Custody after Legacy Goes Into Lockdown

One person is in custody in connection with an incident that occurred this morning at Legacy High School.


This morning at 9:00 a.m., a caller called 911 to report a person in a vehicle in the parking lot of Legacy threatening suicide and who may be in possession of a firearm.


Police contacted the school who immediately went into lockdown. Police arrived on scene and located the individual in his vehicle driving on the street south of the school. He was taken into custody without incident. The 18-year-old student was taken to a local hospital for an evaluation. No weapon was located. No one was injured.


The case is under investigation. The school is in the process of lifting the lockdown.
