[ARCHIVED] Blowing and Drifting Snow Removal Operations

City Public Works snow removal crews are monitoring weather and road conditions throughout the City and plowing and using blowers in the drifted areas currently occurring primarily on the north side of town. The plan is to continue to work on the high drifts and to haul or blow the snow to reduce future drifting, addressing the drifting as it occurs through the wind event.

City Public Works crews work to maintain the highest level of service on the highest priority routes first and then work down progressively through the other levels of route priorities. The established snow removal route priorities determine where to start and focus snow removal efforts. Route priorities provide guidance in order to maintain a passable condition before starting the next lower level priority.

Please keep in mind that despite snow removal efforts, ideal results may not always be obtainable during periods of wind, extreme cold, and accumulation of snow or ice.
