[ARCHIVED] Bismarck Declares Snow Emergency beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 25, 2016

BISMARCK, N.D. – A Snow Emergency will be in effect as of 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 25, 2016 and all designated snow emergency routes are included in this emergency declaration.  Parking is prohibited on designated snow emergency routes; vehicles must be removed from these roadways and parked off the street, on driveways, or parking ramps.  Crews will plow these snow emergency routes tonight and into tomorrow.  If conditions get worse and crews are pulled off routes, they will be parked at the Fire Stations in case of an emergency.

Please remove vehicles from all city streets to aid in snow removal operation. We want to thank the citizens for their cooperation during this significant snow event.  We ask that contractors cleaning parking lots DO NOT push the snow into the street or across the street onto the boulevard. The fine for this violation is up to $1000 and up to 30 days in jail.
