If your street hasn’t been widened out with a plow, do not put out your garbage or recycling containers. It will only make plowing more difficult and delay progress. Crews will be back on your next regular, scheduled collection day. We apologize for the inconvenience and want to thank residents for their continued patience.
Bismarck residents can bring their garbage to the landfill this week at no charge. They must present identification. This does NOT include commercial or rural garbage, Bismarck residents only.
If residents can’t wait for their regularly scheduled recycling collection day, they can bring recyclables to one of the recycling drop-off sites throughout the city, or to the recycling drop-off site at the Bismarck Landfill, 2111 N 52nd St., available during hours of operation, weekdays through Saturday from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Recycling drop-off sites:
Garbage pick-up is intended to take place only on streets that have been plowed and widened. If the street has had only one pass, don’t put you garbage container out.
Monday service will be picked up on Tuesday, January 3rd along with Tuesday’s pick up.
Tuesday thru Friday Routes (January 3-6) will be collected as normally scheduled.
Curbside Recycling pick-up is intended to take place only on streets that have been plowed and widened. If the street has had only one pass, don’t put your curbside recycling container out. They’re delayed a day due to the holiday and will be back on the next regular, scheduled collection day.
