The City of Bismarck Public Works Service Operations Department will hold public input meetings on Thursday, February 16, 2017 and Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at 6:00 p.m., at the Bismarck Public Works Building, 601 South 26th Street to discuss proposed upgrades to the residential solid waste collection service. Topics for discussion include, but are not limited to:
•Four-day week for curbside collection service
•Rebalancing routes to accommodate the 4-day week curbside collection service
•Volume-based fee structure for garbage collection
•Seasonal residential curbside grass collection instead of grass dump sites
•Call-ahead bulk waste curbside collection service
•Quarterly voucher system for residents to dispose of garbage at landfill for free
The meetings will begin with a brief presentation of the proposed changes, followed by an opportunity for all interested parties to comment.
