The Bismarck Livability survey received 1,240 responses. Survey results will assist the on-going efforts to explore what the community wants by beginning community conversations that will help to set the stage for the City’s future Strategic Planning efforts.
When residents were asked what attracted respondents to Bismarck and what keeps them living here, 79 percent said, "the people." Other responses included being closer to family and career opportunities. Safe neighborhoods, academically successful schools, a stable local economy and recreation opportunities also topped the list. More detail will come at a later date after the responses have been fully analyzed.
