[ARCHIVED] Bismarck Planning and Zoning Commission to hold public hearings


Notice is hereby given that the Bismarck Planning & Zoning Commission will hold public hearings on Wednesday, June 28, 2017, at 5:00 p.m. in the Tom Baker Meeting Room, City-County Building, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota, to consider the following items:

• Request of DPS Properties, LLP for approval of a minor subdivision final plat for Trillium Third Addition First Replat, a three-lot subdivision on 12.78 acres.  The property is located in east Bismarck, south of East Bismarck Expressway, along the east side of Burlington Drive (a replat of Lot 1 and Lot 2A, Block 2, Trillium Third Addition).

• Request of Trenton Street Partners, LLP for approval of a minor subdivision final plat for Trenton 2nd Addition, a 10-lot subdivision on 1.69 acres.  The property is located in northeast Bismarck, north of Interstate 94 and west of Centennial Road, along the north side of Trenton Drive and the west side of Cumberland Loop (a replat of Lots 29-40, Block 2, Trenton Addition).

• Request of 613 Development, Inc., for approval of a zoning change from the PUD-Planned Unit Development zoning district to the RT-Residential zoning district for Lot 7, Block 11, Northern Pacific Addition.  The property is located in central Bismarck, east of North Washington Street, along the east side of North 3rd Street between East B Avenue and East C Avenue.

• Request of Brandon Kisse for approval of a special use permit to increase the maximum area of accessory buildings to 3,200 square feet to be located on Lot 1, Block 1, Bluestem Hills Subdivision.  The property is located northeast of Bismarck, north of 57th Avenue NE along the east side of 52nd Street NE.

• Request of The Enrichment Garden for approval of a special use permit for a child care center to be located on Lot 1 and the East 40’ of the vacated 11th Street adjacent, Block 5, Century Commercial Park and Lot 4, Block 1, Menards Addition and less that part taken for street right-of-way.    The property is located in north Bismarck, north of East Century Avenue and west of State Street, along the north side of Weiss Avenue.

• Request of the City of Bismarck for approval of a zoning ordinance text amendment relating to Stormwater Management (Title 14.1 of the City Code of Ordinances).  The proposed amendment would revise the stormwater management requirements in conjunction with the adoption of an updated Storm Water Design Standards Manual.

• Request of the City of Bismarck for approval of a zoning ordinance text amendment relating to Off-Street Parking and Loading/Off-Street Parking (Section 14-03-10(3)).  The proposed amendment would modify the off-street parking requirements for service businesses with fifty (50) percent or more of the gross floor area devoted to storage, warehouse and/or industry use, including those facilities commonly referred to as shop condos.  

At these hearings, the Bismarck Planning & Zoning Commission will provide an opportunity for all interested persons to be heard with respect to these items.  Interested persons may also submit written comments regarding these requests prior to the meeting to the Community Development Department, PO Box 5503, Bismarck, North Dakota 58506-5503, fax: 701-222-6450, or E-mail.  Interested persons may also call 701-355-1840 with questions or for additional information. 

Descriptions of these requests are on file and may be viewed or copied any working day between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the City-County Community Development Department, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota.
