Continuing on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, Turnpike Avenue will be closed to through traffic on the west side of Washington Street. Washington Street will also have lanes reduced to one lane in each direction from Interstate Avenue through Ryan Drive.

A detour will be in place.

Eastbound traffic on Turnpike will be detoured south on Assumption Drive to Ryan Drive, then east to Washington Street and north back to Turnpike.

Westbound traffic on Turnpike will be detoured south on Washington Street to Ryan drive, then west to Assumption Drive and north back to Turnpike.

The closure will be in place until load restrictions are lifted and the contractor is able to pave the roadway.

Congestion can be expected during peak hour traffic. Traffic is asked to seek alternate routes.
