Bismarck Mayor Steve Bakken is seeking candidates interested in serving on the Vision Fund Committee as a Committee Member. The volunteer committee has two open positions, which are 3-year terms.
Interested persons should complete an application form describing their qualifications, background and why they would like to serve on the Committee. Completed applications should be sent to:

The deadline for submitting applications is 12 Noon, August 31, 2018. It is anticipated that the new committee members will be announced at the September 11, 2018 meeting of the Board of City Commissioners.
The Vision Fund is intended to provide assistance to entities that desire to start, expand or locate in or around the City of Bismarck “community.” The primary purpose of this fund is to encourage and assist in the development of employment within the community by creating new jobs; retaining and enhancing existing jobs; expanding the community’s tax base; increasing capital investment; improving the entrepreneurial climate of the community; and generally expanding the financial base of the community.
The Vision Fund Committee meets on an as needed basis in the City/County Building at 221 N 5th Street, Bismarck.
