Bismarck Public Works Utility Operations is near the final stretch of the water, sewer, and stormwater rate analysis. The next small group community stakeholder meeting will be held Thursday, Oct. 18, from 5:30 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Bismarck Public Works, 601 South 26th Street, discussing the cost of service for development. This meeting will include information about:
1. The costs of system expansion
2. A potential change from existing trunk line fees to a new schedule of capital charges
3. A potential change in stormwater detention requirements and fees
Public Works Utility Operations hopes to bring the study to completion in November.
Past stakeholder meetings have included a May 24 presentation, June 11 input from stakeholders, August 1, revenue requirements, September 5, stakeholder discussion, and September 19, input on rate design.
