At approximately 6:50 AM on Saturday, October 20, Central Dakota Communication received 911 calls reporting a mobile home fire on the 4100 block of Arlington Ave. They dispatched the Bismarck Fire Department to the scene. While enroute they received information that all occupants were out of the house. The first arriving crew gave an initial report of fire showing, established Command, confirmed all occupants were out and set up resources to extinguish the fire. Occupants stated that one of their dogs may be in the back bedroom. Fire was showing from most windows of the structure. Bismarck Police Department provided scene security and safety. Male occupant of the home had some exposure to smoke and had a burn on his hand. Metro Area Ambulance assessed and addressed medical concerns related to him. There were 3 pet dogs living in the home; 2 dogs were able to be rescued by the owners, one succumbed to the fire. Bismarck Animal Control was called on scene. Montana Dakota Utilities was called to the scene to secure gas lines and Capitol Electric Cooperative was called on scene to secure electrical. 15 fire department personnel responded in 4 engines, a rescue truck & a command vehicle. No firefighters were injured. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
