[ARCHIVED] Bismarck residential recycling drop site consolidation to begin Nov. 13

Single Sort Recycling Container

Bismarck will begin relocating neighborhood residential recycling drop sites to one, consolidated location at the Bismarck landfill starting November 13. The relocation and consolidation of the neighborhood recycling drop sites is expected to be finished by the end of the week. Due to contamination issues at the recycling drop sites, the Bismarck City Commission chose to relocate the recycling drop sites to the landfill.

Once completed, the Bismarck city landfill will be the only drop site for residential recyclables for Bismarck residents. Signage has been placed at each of the neighborhood residential recycling drop sites advising residents of the change and directing them to the new location at the Bismarck Landfill.

The Bismarck city landfill is located at 2111 North 52nd Street. The consolidated residential recycling drop site will be located just south of the parking lot near the scale house. The recycling drop site at the Bismarck landfill will operate during regularly scheduled business hours. Currently, landfill operating hours are 8:00 A.M. - 4:00 P.M., Monday – Saturday.
