Bismarck Mayor Steve Bakken is looking for a candidate interested in serving on the Bismarck Board of Adjustment as a Board Member. The volunteer committee has one open position, which is a 3-year term. Anyone residing in the City of Bismarck or the City’s extraterritorial area is eligible for this appointment.

The deadline for applications is 12 noon on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. It is anticipated that the new Authority members will be announced at the April 14, 2020 meeting of the Board of City Commissioners.
The Board of Adjustment is a six member board appointed by the Bismarck City Commission to decide appeals from an order, requirement or determination made by an administrative official of the City of Bismarck. The Board of Adjustment is empowered to make interpretations and grant variances related to zoning regulations.
The Board of Adjustment meets the first Thursday of every month at 5:00 p.m. in the City-County Building, 221 N 5th Street, Bismarck.
