[ARCHIVED] Bismarck Public Works advises flushing water lines when reopening

With businesses starting to reopen Friday, the Bismarck Public Works Department provides the following advice. Business owners are advised as they reopen, to thoroughly flush all water lines that haven’t had water usage during the recent closure. Various businesses have been idled during the closure and water lines potentially have been unused. Quality water at the tap is important for all of our customers. Open the taps to flush water for at least 10 minutes, including the furthest points within the plumbing system.  This will help to bring in fresh water from the mains and remove water that has been sitting for an extended time.
