[ARCHIVED] Public Involvement for Proposed Amendment to the 2021-2024 Transportation Improvement Program

The Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (BMMPO) will hold a public hearing on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 10:00 am regarding a proposed amendment to the BMMPO 2021-2024 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).  The meeting will be held in conjunction with the regularly scheduled meeting of the BMMPO Technical Advisory Committee in the Tom Baker Meeting Room of the City/County Office Building at 221 N 5th Street, Bismarck, ND.

The proposed amendment is intended to move an advance construct project in Bismarck from year 2022 to year 2021 within the TIP, making it eligible for 2021 funding.  The 43rd Avenue reconstruction project from Washington Street to State Street was constructed in 2020 using 100% City of Bismarck funding.  It appears funding may be available to begin refunding some of the advance construction costs in 2021.

Following the consideration period of citizens' comments, the proposed amendment will be presented to the BMMPO Policy Board for possible adoption as part of the 2021-2024 TIP, contingent upon no substantive change required due to public comments.

The public is invited to attend the public hearing, or submit written comments directed to Rachel Drewlow of the MPO no later than 9:00 am, Monday, April 19, 2021 to PO Box 5503, Bismarck, ND, 58506-5503.  written comments may also be emailed or faxed to 701-222-6450.  Written comments should be specifically identified as public input on the proposed changes to the 2021-2024 TIP.  Contact Rachel Drewlow, MPO Executive Director, at 701-355-1852 for additional information.

To request accommodations for disabilities and/or language assistance, contact Title VI/ADA Coordinator at 701-355-1332 or email.  TTY users may access Relay North Dakota at 711 or 1-800-366-6888, at least five (5) days in advance of the meeting.
