At approximately 2:34 PM on Tuesday June 1, the Central Dakota Communications Center received a report of an apartment on fire in the 200 block of east Arbor Ave. The Bismarck Fire Department was dispatched to investigate. The first arriving fire crew arrived on scene to find heavy smoke and fire showing from a second-floor window. One firefighter suffered a heat related injury and was treated and released. The apartment was unoccupied at the time of the fire and suffered major damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
