The MPO will hold a public hearing on the 2022-2025 draft final 2022-2025 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) at 10am on October 18, 2021 in conjunction with the MPO Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) meeting. The TAC meeting will be held in the Tom Baker Meeting Room of the City/County Office Building at 221 N. 5th Street, Bismarck, ND. If you would like to participate via video or audio link for a 3-5 minute comment on the draft final 2022-2025 TIP, please provide your e-mail address and contact information to mpo@bismarcknd.gov at least one (1) business day before the meeting.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide an opportunity for public involvement in the review and development of the draft final 2022-2025 TIP. The TIP coordinates and schedules transportation projects (e.g., highway, street, bikeway, pedestrian, transit, safety enhancements and other transportation related improvements) in the metropolitan area over the next four years, thereby making these projects eligible for federal assistance. The TIP includes metropolitan area transportation projects proposed by the following jurisdictions: Bismarck, Mandan, Lincoln, Morton County, Burleigh County, and NDDOT. The draft TIP contains the Program of Projects or identified list of transit needs to be funded over the next four years. If there are no amendments or changes to the Program of Projects, this notice will also serve as the Final Program of Projects notice.
The draft 2022-2025 TIP was first presented to the MPO Policy Board for consideration on August 17, 2021, following a 15-day public comment period and public hearing. An additional 15-day public comment period was held in September, following revisions made to the TIP due to comments received.
Furthermore, the public is notified that a draft final 2022-2025 TIP, along with a list of all revisions, will be available for citizens to review at the Bismarck Community Development Office, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota, beginning September 30, 2021. The draft final 2022-2025 TIP and complete list of revisions will also be available on the MPO web page at www.bismarcknd.gov/MPO. Following the public hearing, the draft final TIP will be presented to the MPO Policy Board. The public is invited to attend the public hearing, either in person or via video or audio link.
