The Bismarck-Mandan MPO is nearing the final stages in updating its Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) Regional Architecture (RA). This is an opportunity for the public to learn more about this update. ITS is the application of various computing and communications technologies to monitor, evaluate, and manage transportation systems to enhance their efficiency and safety. The Regional Architecture provides a framework for integrating and deploying ITS which is customized to the specific needs of the Bismarck-Mandan MPO area.
The Draft Final Report for the 2021 Update to the Bismarck-Mandan ITS RA will be presented to the MPO Technical Advisory Committee for consideration at its regular monthly meeting on December 20, 2021. Members of the public interested in learning about the Bismarck-Mandan MPO’s Regional Architecture are encouraged to attend the meeting. The meeting will be held in the Tom Baker Meeting Room of the City/County Office Building, 221 N. 5th Street, Bismarck, and will begin at 10:00 am. Virtual options for attendance via ZOOM are available.
