BISMARCK, N.D. – Mayor Steve Bakken today released the following statement regarding the passing of state Rep. George Keiser of Bismarck. A veteran and owner of Quality Printing Service, Keiser represented District 47 in Bismarck since 1993, served as a Bismarck city commissioner from 1988 to 1992, and served as a member of the Renaissance Zone Authority for over 20 years, first appointed on June 21, 2001.
“Our city and state have lost a true public servant today. We want to thank Rep. George Keiser for his many years of dedicated service and support to District 47, to the City of Bismarck as city commissioner, and 20-year member of the Renaissance Zone Authority who helped to establish Bismarck’s Renaissance Zone program. He was devoted to his family, his community, and his state. We offer our deepest prayers and condolences to his wife and family, friends and colleagues.”
