[ARCHIVED] Emergency 911 Currently Experiencing an Outage

***UPDATE:*** Emergency 911 call operations appear to be back to normal. Thank you for your patience while this issue was being resolved. 


BISMARCK, N.D. – Emergency 911 is currently experiencing an outage. If you are having difficulties contacting 911 by voice, call alternate number if 911 is unreachable: 701-223-9111, or text 911. Enter the numbers "911" in the "To" field.

Text message should be brief and include:

o    Location

o    Type of emergency

o    Then, "Send" message.


Be prepared to answer questions and follow instructions from the 9-1-1 personnel. Text in simple words - do not use abbreviations.
