Applicant Sought for Bismarck Parking Authority


BISMARCK, N.D. – A candidate is being sought to serve on the Bismarck Parking Authority. The volunteer committee has one open position. This position is open to any member of the community and is not subject to property ownership conditions. The position is to fulfill an unexpired term through December 2025.


Interested applicants should complete an application form describing their qualifications, background, and why they would like to serve on the Authority. Completed applications should be sent to: Ben Ehreth, AICP, Director Community Development Department P.O. Box 5503 Bismarck, ND 58506-5503

Forms can also be mailed by calling the Community Development Department at (701) 355-1840 or may be picked up at the department office at 221 N 5th Street, Bismarck. Additional information on the position and the appointment process can also be obtained by contacting the department office. The deadline for applications is Friday, July 29th. It is anticipated that the new board member will be announced at the August 23, 2022, Board of City Commissioners’ meeting. 


The Bismarck Parking Authority is a 5-member advisory board appointed by the Bismarck City Commission to provide convenient reasonably priced parking to the residents, clients, customers, merchants, and employees of the Downtown Parking District. The Bismarck Parking Authority currently manages four ramps and two surface lots. The Bismarck Parking Authority meets on the second Thursday of every month at 9:00 a.m. in the Tom Baker Meeting Room, City-County Building, 221 N 5th Street, Bismarck.
