[ARCHIVED] Planning and Zoning Commission Public Hearings

Notice is hereby given that the Bismarck Planning & Zoning Commission will hold public hearings on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at 5:00 p.m. in the Tom Baker Meeting Room, City-County Building, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota, to consider the following items:

 

  • Request of TPR, LLP and Ronald and Ruth Knutson for approval of a zoning change from the A – Agricultural zoning district to the RT – Residential and CG – Commercial zoning districts and a major subdivision final plat for Daybreak Second Addition, a 12-lot subdivision on 124.61 acres.  The property is located in north Bismarck, north of 57th Avenue NE along the west side of US Highway 83/State Street (part of Section 9, T139N-R80W/City Lands and Hay Creek Township).

 

  • Request of Plains Leasing, LLC for approval of a major subdivision final plat for Yegen Strip Addition, a one-lot subdivision on 1.75 acres. The property is located in east Bismarck, along the west side of Yegen Road between Apple Creek Road and Morrison Avenue (part of the NE1/4 of Section 11, T138N-R80W/City Lands).

 

  • Request of Land One Inc. and Vance Vetter for approval of a zoning change from the R10 – Residential zoning district to the RT – Residential zoning district on Lots 49 and 50, Block 2, Sonnet Heights Subdivision First Replat. The property is located in north Bismarck, west of US Highway 83/State Street, along the north side of East Lasalle Drive).

 

  • Request of HISB Properties, LLC for approval of a zoning change from the RT – Residential and CG – Commercial zoning districts to the CG – Commercial zoning district for Lot 1 and part of Lot 2, Block 1, Meadow Lark Hill Second Addition Replat. The property is located in west-central Bismarck, west of West Divide Avenue and south of Interstate 94, along the west side of Schafer Street).

 

  • Request of Believe and Blossom Pre-school, LLC and Gossett Enterprises, LLC for approval of a special use permit to allow the operation of a child care center in the strip mall located on Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Sonnet Heights Subdivision Fifth Replat. The property is located in north Bismarck, north of 43rd Avenue NE along the west side of Ottawa Street (4700 Ottawa Street). 

 

  • Request of Daniel and Nicole Lyons for approval of a special use permit to increase the total area of accessory buildings up to 3200 square feet on Lot 2, Block 1, Wolf Subdivision. The property is located southeast of Bismarck, south of 55th Avenue SE and west of 66th Street SE (6415 55th Avenue SE).

 

At the hearings, the Bismarck Planning & Zoning Commission will provide an opportunity for all interested parties to be heard with respect to these items. Interested parties may submit written or email comments regarding these requests no later than 8:00 AM the day of the meeting to the Community Development Department, PO Box 5503, Bismarck, North Dakota 58506-5503, fax: 701-222-6450, or email - planning@bismarcknd.gov. Written comments received after 8:00 AM on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 and those submitted anonymously will not be forwarded to the Planning & Zoning Commissioners or included in the minutes of the meeting. Interested persons may also call 701-355-1840 with questions, for additional information, or to facilitate alternate means to appear at the public hearing without having to appear in person.

 

Descriptions of these request are on file and may be viewed or copied any working day between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. at the Bismarck Community Development Department, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota.
