Bismarck’s yard waste collection sites are open. Please follow the instructions listed below when using these sites so we are able to continue this service.
Instructions:
- Do Not dump grass on the ground. If containers are full, please use another site or bring back later.
- If you have a trailer full of grass, please empty it at the landfill during regular hours.
- No Commercial Dumping
- Yard Waste is compostable and reusable. When unacceptable items are placed in the yard waste dumpster, the load becomes contaminated and must be buried at Site 1 along with other garbage. This shortens the life of the landfill and in turn costs taxpayers money.

- Flowers
- Garden Waste
- Grass Clippings
- Leaves
- Pinecones
Unacceptable Items
- Animal Waste
- Food Waste
- Garbage of any kind
- Plastic Bags and/or bags of any kind.
- Sod
- Tree Branches & Twigs
