BISMARCK, ND—The Bismarck Fire Department extinguished an apartment fire in the 400 block of East Main Avenue.
At approximately 3:30 PM on September 1st, 2024, the Central Dakota Communications received a call for an automatic fire alarm at this address.
Firefighters arrived on scene to find smoke coming from a 7th floor apartment. Firefighters gained entry and quickly extinguished the fire. The apartment building was searched and evacuated.
One occupant was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
The fire was contained to one apartment and there was smoke and water damage throughout the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
