Volunteers have been working hard all week to fill sandbags to aid in the city’s flood fight. While people are still needed to fill sandbags, the city is also asking volunteers to help residents use those sandbags to protect their homes.
The Flood Hotline has been compiling a list of homeowners who are looking for help.
“We have a list 25 pages long of homeowners who have called and need help sandbagging their homes or moving their belongings out of their homes. The problem is, our list of people who need help is much longer than our list of volunteers,” says Bismarck Police Detective Gary Malo.
