The City of Bismarck will perform preventive maintenance on outdoor warning sirens on Saturday, May 17, and Monday, May 19. During the preventive maintenance activity, individual sirens may be sounded briefly (about 10 to 15 seconds). This brief tone activation is part of routine maintenance and does not signal an emergency. In the event of a real emergency activation, all sirens would sound simultaneously for 3 minutes, like the monthly tests.
