[ARCHIVED] Knife River Corporation Progress Update on East Century Avenue Reconstruction

Knife River Corporation Logo

Dear Residents,

We're excited to share the latest progress on the revitalization of East Century Avenue and what it means for your community.

Temporary Roadway

Gravel travel is now only required when entering/exiting at Stonewall Drive. Over the next few days, we’ll be shifting traffic currently using Stonewall Drive over to Roosevelt Drive. This change will allow for the preparation of Stonewall Drive to complete the paving process and smoothly connect into the adjacent intersection.

East Century Ave

Paving has been completed on the section beginning just east of Stonewall Drive and extending beyond Roosevelt Drive. Concrete crews have now transitioned to work on the northwest tie-in to existing Century Avenue, as well as sidewalks and intersections at Greensboro Drive, Stonewall Drive, and Roosevelt Drive, with a large pave of this section of roadway planned for this past Saturday (08/02/2025).

Based on current progress, we remain on track to having the section of roadway from the western project limit to Roosevelt Drive fully open shortly after school begins for the year.

The area west of Roosevelt Drive remains our top priority. Construction efforts to the east, including underground infrastructure work, are in progress. With the majority of activity in that section scheduled to begin once initial milestones are achieved in the current priority zone.
