Construction Update: East Century Avenue
To All Area Residents and Travelers,
It was a rain-filled week since our last update, and while the weather has temporarily slowed progress, it has not brought the project to a halt. On Friday, September 19, 2025, Northern Improvement paved the asphalt roadway on 52nd Street. This marks a significant milestone, as it enables us to move forward with final ditch grading, topsoiling, and seeding throughout the area.
Looking ahead, we plan to resume concrete paving this week. Our goal is to complete the paving and all side street tie-ins (Kost Drive, Sumter Drive, and British Drive) within the next two weeks. Work on the sidewalk and shared-use path will also continue in parallel.
On Track for Completion
Despite recent weather-related delays, the project remains on schedule and continues to show excellent progress. We anticipate completion to be very close to the originally projected timeframe.
