MPO Fringe Area Road Master Plan Public Input Meeting Opportunities

Public Input Meetings will be held on December 9th and 10th, 2025. These meetings will be to discuss the Fringe Area Roads Master Plan Update. The study aims to create a shared vision for how the Bismarck-Mandan region’s transportation will support its growth, using scenario-based planning and innovative engagement.

Two in-person open-house meetings will be held from 5pm to 7pm Central on December 9th and 10th. These meetings will be located at the Mandan Morton Public Library Loft room (609 W Main St, Mandan, ND 58554) on December 9th and Bismarck Public Works Community Meeting Room (601 S. 26th St. Bismarck, ND 58504) on December 10th. These Public Input Meetings will utilize an open house discussion format as well as an interactive activity to help communicate project goals. Virtual materials will be available on the project website  beginning December 11th.

The Public Input Meetings will focus on the Fringe Area Roads Master Plan (FARMP) Update—a comprehensive plan shaping future growth and transportation in the region’s outer edges. Building on the 2014 FARMP, this update addresses changing development patterns and community priorities by evaluating main corridors and key locations to get more focused attention. The study aims to create a shared vision for safe, efficient, and sustainable transportation through public feedback, scenario-based planning, and innovative engagement.
