The Bismarck -Mandan MPO adopted the 2025 Safety Policy Study Leadership Commitment Resolution of Adoption at their regular meeting on December 16, 2025, to eliminate traffic fatalities and life-changing injuries on the regional transportation network with the goal to reduce annual traffic fatalities and life-changing injuries by fifty percent (50%), to 35 fatal and life-changing injury crashes or fewer by 2050. The MPO encourages all partner jurisdictions to align their local safety initiatives with the Safety Policy Study and work collectively towards the shared vision of zero roadway deaths and life-changing injuries.
