If your incident is an emergency, call 9-1-1. If it is not an emergency, call the Police Department at (701) 223-1212.

2. What if my incident happened in another city? Can I file a report using the online reporting system?

No. If the crime took place outside of the City of Bismarck, please call the police for that city.

3. What if this happened on a State freeway?

If this took place on a state freeway, please call the Highway Patrol Office nearest you.

4. What is a known suspect?

A suspect becomes a known suspect when you or someone else knows the person or where to find the person who committed the crime. This includes the license plate number of the vehicle the suspect or suspects were in.
