Every year the Bismarck Police Department takes in hundreds of bicycles as evidence/found property. Many times, there is no way for us to locate the owner of the bicycle and it ends up being auctioned off at the annual city auction. It is a wise choice to register your bicycle so in the case your bicycle goes missing and we locate it, we are able to get it back to you before the upcoming auction.
We do not allow anyone to come and view our inventory of bicycles unless it's the day before the auction.
We recommend you keep a detailed description of your bicycle in a secure place on top of registering it with us.
