[ARCHIVED] City of Bismarck Public Works Landfill is Open and Garbage & Recycling Collected as Scheduled

City of Bismarck Landfill is open and garbage and recycling is being collected as scheduled for Thursday, December 15th.  If garbage was not out in time for the initial collection, crews will pick it up next week on the regular scheduled collection day.  If recycling was not out in time for the initial collection, it will be picked up on the next regular scheduled collection day.

 

Collection schedules for garbage and recycling will be uninterrupted due to weather or road conditions unless a news release is sent out indicating a change in schedule.

 

Reminder:  Garbage and recycling must be set out by 6:00 am, at your collection point, on your scheduled collection day.

 

Dumpsters - It is the property owner’s responsibility to clear snow around dumpsters.  In order to ensure that the waste is emptied during the winter months the snow must be removed in front and around the container.  The container must be moved a minimum of 7 feet from where it is setting in order to be emptied.  The waste collection crew must be able to maneuver the container in order to hook it up to the truck

 

Landfill Hours

Monday through Saturday:  8:00 am - 4:00 pm

Closed: Sundays & Designated Holidays

 

HHW and Electronic Recycling Center Hours of Operation

9am – 2pm on Tuesday & Thursday of each week

9am – 2pm on 1st & 3rd Saturday of each month
