Board of Adjustment

The Board of Adjustment is a 5-member board appointed by the Bismarck City Commission to decide variances from zoning and appeals from administrative decisions of an official of the City of Bismarck. See Land Development Process for more information on variances and appeals.

Terms on the Board of Adjustment begin in January and continue through each calendar year. Applications are solicited for open positions in November and appointed by City Commission in December. An application may be submitted for a board appointment at any time.
